Tommy’s StarBrite® Colors
The Importance Of Quality
When it comes to tattoo ink, there is no room for inconsistencies or impurities. Ink quality can affect many things within a tattoo, such as healing, saturation, and even the quality of the application. With mandated regulations and guidelines, the risk of buying contaminated product has certainly decreased. However, the risk still has yet to be completely eliminated. The decision to work with high quality materials is still fully up to the artist. Here, Cesar makes the decision to put his clients first.
7 years ago, Cesar made the decision to invest in his clients safety and well being. As a result, he decided to join with Tommy’s StarBrite Colors for a sponsorship. Since then Cesar has been able to ensure peace of mind for all of his clients.
Introducing: Tommy’s StarBrite® Colors
Tommy’s StarBrite Colors has invested time, money, and research while creating their Vegan Friendly pigments. They work heavily with the FDA to ensure that all guidelines and regulations are met. The StarBrite facility utilizes an ISO 8, Class A 100,000 clean room with high powered HEPA filters. The filters remove dust and other particles from the air. Without these preventative measures, there is a high risk for contamination. All employees are fitted with clean room approved uniforms to further aid with prevention at the StarBrite facility.
Before, during, and after production, there are procedures in place to ensure quality. The inks are cleaned with disinfectant solutions before, and after production of each color to reduce contamination risk. All StarBrite Inks are gamma treated before leaving the facility as well. StarBrite Inks began the process of chemically testing for ingredients in 2009. They were one of the first, large scale ink manufacturers to do this, as stated by their website.
Unfortunately with the steady progression of the tattoo ink industry, the counterfeit ink market has also grown substantially. StarBrite now takes preventative measures to ensure their products cannot be mistaken. In a stand against copy cats, StarBrite revamped the entire appearance of their inks in 2019. To ensure authenticity, all bottles now feature a new logo, die cut peel back labels, and a metallic ink in the bottom band. Each bottle will now feature information specific to each pigment, such as the color index numbers as well. For more information, please visit Tommy’s StarBrite® Colors.
Showing a true passion for safety and consistency, StarBrite has proven its quality here time and time again.
